     Transpersonal Hypnotherapy –
            What is the process?

The transpersonal or clinical hypnotherapy process is easily accessed by most individuals. It is focused on accessing a part of you that has answers to all your questions, knows the reasons for any difficulty or spiritual blockages, and knows what must be done to resolve them. The treatment process is straightforward and often has powerful long term effects. Some insight is always achieved.

The first step in the process is a short discussion on the issue you want addressed or question you want answered. Normally, before the first session, I will send you a short questionnaire that will help us narrow the focus on the issue. I will send you a map to my office (in unusual occasions therapy in your home or another suitable location is possible).

This first session is dedicated to developing a client/therapist understanding of the issue or question. This can include any significant dreams, life events, and other relevant information. We normally will not perform a regression during the initial session but agree on an approach with which you are comfortable and will get you the results you desire.

Based on the information that is revealed and your question, we agree on a therapy process that may include a number of treatment approaches. Normally, a part of the process will include states of increased focus (some might call this hypnosis) but not always. If this enhanced focus state is used it will normally entail relaxation suggestions, while you are seated in a comfortable recliner, and some guided imagery to help you get to the ‘location’ in your mind where you can access the information necessary to gain insight and understanding. You never lose control of the process and will normally remember all of it. Even in the relaxed state there will be a dialogue between you and the therapist. Sessions will normally not be less than 90 minutes and may be longer based on the type of process that is employed.

Remember the transpersonal hypnotherapist believes that the resources for healing or answering any question lie within you. His or her assignment is to help you release the information so you can use it consciously. Normally, understanding the root of an issue will resolve it but sometimes more advanced approaches are used.

The session finishes with a summary of the insights, conclusions you have derived, and suggestions for further exploration until the next session. There are likely to be instructions to pay particular attention to dreams and out of the ordinary events occurring in your day-to-day life. Often the questions or issues can be resolved in one session (after the interview process), normally within a small number of sessions. Rarely is extended therapy required.

This process works and works very well. It can dramatically change your life.

Call or e-mail me and we’ll get started.

NOTE:   Recently the famed psychiatrist and past life regressionist Brian Weiss was on Oprah and demonstrated the technique to her audience. Follow the link to see a transcript and some graphics of that show. Weiss is a member of the organization I belong to, the International Association for Research and Regression Therapies (IARRT). His techniques are similar to mine.

I give strong endorsement to Brian's first book in the topic, Many lives, Many Masters, as a very entertaining and readable introduction.
